A: We are a [cult]ure. This place will be whatever you, the members, make of it. It was created as an alternative to the burning trash pile that is mainstream social media. We hope to become a nexus for the curios, the brave, and the unconventional.
Q: Who can join Nv11?
A: Anyone can – it’s an open signup. The question you should be asking is who will be allowed to stay. Read the rules and make of them what you will. If you get banned there’s no one to complain to. We encourage you to experiment, explore reality, and share your results. Start community projects and group workings, be creative and have fun.
Q: Are there secret spaces?
A: There are most definitely secret parts of the forum and special interest chats. Many are accessible simply by becoming promoted to a full member. Some groups are self-governed and have their own criteria for initiating members. To become a full member is simple – participate in the discussions and contribute something interesting. Once members take notice you will be nominated and promoted.
Q: How can I contribute to [cult]ure growth?
A: Telling people about Nv11 is cool, HOWEVER the better way to grow the [cult]ure is to become an active member that contributes their unique personality and content for the community to enjoy. Start engaging discussions, organize events, share resources, and most importantly tell us about the adventures that are uniquely your own.
Q: Someone is being a dick, what do I do?
A: First and foremost, don’t degenerate down to their level. Message a mod or an admin.
Q: I’m being a dick, what do I do?
A: If a mod or an admin tells you to stop a particular behaviour, take that as a warning. If you continue that behaviour you will be ejected from the [cult]. It is completely fine to challenge ideas and confront the norms, but you can do this in the spirit of collaboration and mutual growth. If you notice that a situation is escalating, try to resolve it – or simply walk away from the tension.
