What lucid dreaming techniques have you found the most success with?

Any time I’m actively practicing lucid dreaming I tend to be successful with making it a habit of doing reality checks frequenting and trying to stay mindful of the reality around me. Getting to know common dream symbols also helps a lot.

My favourite reality check is trying to breathe through my nose while pinching it closed. It’s so simple, can be done anywhere, and feels so weird in a dream that it’s impossible to not go lucid.

Never had much success with wake induced lucid dreaming techniques. Would love to though!
